John Van Decker
Research Vice President, Gartner, Inc.
John Van Decker is Vice President, Corporate Performance Management and Financial Management Systems at Gartner Inc. In this role, he looks after all CFO-related research. Van Decker focuses on how to bring a technology solution into an enterprise, including software, services, and change management required to achieve business value. Throughout his 23-year career, he has worked with both IT and finance organizations as a user, developer, and implementer of financial management and operational applications. Van Decker has held positions that bought, sold, and researched financial management technologies, giving him a unique perspective as a Gartner industry analyst.
SVP, Finance, Wintrust Financial Corporation
Anita Chakravarthy is the SVP of Finance at Wintrust Financial Corporation, a financial holding company with assets of approximately $25 billion. She has an extensive background in the financial services industry, with an emphasis in capital planning, stress testing, leading cross-functional business teams, and overseeing technology projects.
Anita joined Wintrust in 2010 to create a loss-share agreement compliance reporting function. Currently she is leading a multimillion dollar project, which includes process improvement as well as the implementation of a new software system along with data integration touching all parts of the organization. She also serves on Wintrust’s Enterprise Data Governance Committee.
Prior to joining Wintrust, Anita spent over 10 years in progressive managerial finance roles at firms including HSBC and United Airlines. She earned her bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Mumbai, India and is slated to complete her executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in December of 2016.
